Quiz
So we have a quiz for you: guess the height of the hill behind Sven! The winner will get the first postcard we send from Peru!
Evening in La Paz
Evening in La Paz – you might not see much but you can hear it well. We were looking through the window and wondering how the hell did we manage to bike through this?
La Paz
La Paz! Today we’ve reached the big city and had frost on our tent for the first time since Patagonia – the winter is coming. The few trees we find have yellow leaves and people are working in the fields and picking their quinoa. We’ll stay here for few days and now have the choices to make (again) – what would you do in La Paz?
Day 211
Day 211, 5055km, Machacamarca. Happy Easter everybody! To celebrate this occasion we’ve (finally) reached altiplano. It greeted us with headwinds, so only half of the fun is left. Next – La Paz.
Day 180
4764km, 180 days, Potosi! Last week was very hard – the mountains in Bolivia are really brutal (but the people are very friendly) – we started at 3000m height in Tupiza and finished at 4000m height in Potosi, but were climbing up and down brutally in between, going as low as 2600m (twice) and as high as 4350m. Nevertheless we made it!
