Quiz: Moab Research

Quiz Friday! Here is Kira doing research at 1am. Long term traveling goes hand in hand with constant research. We’re heading towards Moab which is a famous hub for outdoor activities. It offers endless possibilities, but all of them come with conditions: you can take pets on this trail, but not that one, your should hike this trail during sunrise, and watch this stone during sunset, see that rock anytime, but only if you drink milk, and ride this trail, but only on Thursdays at 3, and only if the elephant weights less than one tonneā€¦ At the end, we managed to figure everything out and make the best possible plan, but it came with a price. Question: How much hair did we lose during our research for Moab?
A: Kira lost twice as much as Sven
B: Sven lost twice as much as Kira
C: 3,14 and they were curly
D: None, our hair is immune for this by now
The winner will get a personal kilometer as well as a place in our Hall of Fame (http://on.fb.me/1JAdFTC). The quiz ends on Monday (00:00 GMT). The winner will be announced on Tuesday(ish). The winner will be drawn at random from all the correct entries.

Week 150. Hiding in Colorado

Good news: we have cycled half of the mainland USA! To celebrate this achievement we visited Mesa Verde National Park. We never heard about it before, but it left us speechless. We spent the rest of the week hiding behind blackout curtains and doing nothing at all. Touring full time is a hard job, we work form 5:00 to 23:00 in order to keep everything running smoothly. Cycling is the easiest part, the supporting tasks are the ones that eat up most of our time and energy. There are no weekends, no holidays and often we work overtimes additionally to our 18-hour-workday. The hard work sure pays back in unique, unexpected and quirky ways and couple of days off is a rare, but sometimes needed indulgence. Also, we brought Tulku for her annual vaccination and check up. She got her knees inspected for the first time since her operation in Colombia and turns out that her knees are healthy and patellas are not luxating anymore. Yay!

Quiz: Why Colorado?

Quiz Friday! Here we are, entering Colorado! Our route through mainland USA is heading towards Utah. In order to get there, we had to go either via Arizona or via Colorado. As the photo hints, we have chosen Colorado. Question: Why did we choose to cycle through Colorado instead of Arizona?
A: It’s shorter
B: It has less elevation
C: It has cooler sights
D: We don’t like the drink called ‘Arizona’, so we don’t want to visit the state either
The winner will get a personal kilometer as well as a place in our Hall of Fame (http://on.fb.me/1JAdFTC). The quiz ends on Monday (00:00 GMT). The winner will be announced on Tuesday(ish). The winner will be drawn at random from all the correct entries.
